Smartsoftware
offer total solutions to refine business performance,
planning and process flow. We work with our clients through
the following services to ensure their requirements are met
and supported through out the life-cycle of their
investment.
|
|
Our team has a great depth of experience in mapping existing
business processes, then analysing the processes for
potential improvements. This involves a process of
discovery, documentation, analysis and implementation of
process change.
|
|
|
Reporting requirements seem to take a little more
analysis than expected, particularly when you start to
factor in who should run the report, which technology format
you need it published in, and who should have access to view
the results. It is quite often easy to know what you want,
but getting information into your required format takes a
concerted effort.
We work with you to assist in defining the requirements
to produce the reporting process for
your firm.
|
|
|
We provide product specific training courses for the
software applications we supply. These courses can be
delivered either in accordance with the manufactures
standard course outlines, or customised to suit the specific
needs of your firm.

Many people believe that system configuration is a once
off job when a system is first setup. However one of the
major requirements when acquiring a new system is to ensure
it is flexible enough to change with your business.
Therefore there is an ongoing need to review and refine your
systems configuration as your firm develops.
Smartsoftware
have a proven methodology for interpreting
your business processes into system configuration settings
for the application of your choice. We also have well
established business processes to assist clients in
reviewing their system configuration at a frequency that
makes sense.

The transformation and loading of historical data from
legacy systems can be as simple as a data entry exercise or
as complex as an automated data extraction and
transformation program. It is also important to have the
knowledge of what data will have a significant impact on
setting up a new system, and when is the most appropriate
time to load that data.
|
|
|
No information system is and island, and there are times
when an automated transfer of data between systems makes
sense. In determining the best approach you need to be able
to evaluate how your systems can communicate with each other
and how you maintain data integrity between the systems. The
degree of integration will depend on the timeliness of the
data being exchanged and where the control of data changes
will happen. Our team has the experience in analysing,
designing and building interfaces or integration with all of
the systems we supply and support.
|
|
|
Most systems these days are highly configurable and in
most instances they don’t require any customisation. The
issue to focus on is how to create a customisation without
adversely affecting the systems source code or the upgrade
path to new releases. These issues require a considerable
amount of knowledge of the systems you are working with and
a methodology to ensure you have a maintainable solution.
If the need does arise for customisation or development, our
team have the in depth knowledge of the systems we supply
and support, and the experience in developing modifications
to complete new business applications that are interfaced or
integrated with your primary business application.

Our team can assist you in the design, procurement,
installation and management of your technical infrastructure
including hardware, operating systems, databases, email
systems and communications network.

Smartsoftware
have been industry leaders in the
establishment and delivery of managed service provision
since the inception of our Partnership Support Program, PSP,
back in 1997. Our service is in operation in seven countries
around the globe. We are able to manage your applications
software for the total care and maintenance of your systems.
PSP is a fixed price, extended technical maintenance and
support service for your systems and its associated 3rd
party software environment.
PSP is designed, as a minimum, to cover the day-to-day
review of the operational management of your systems
environment, including: ensuring that established jobs run
successfully; the database is tuned; sizing and performance
issues are accurately forecast; and software “bugs” are
identified and corrected following the manufacturer’s
delivery of corrective code.
A Customer taking up the PSP can expect:
- An implementation of the service using a methodical
and well planned process;
- Proactive maintenance and upgrading of the EAS;
- Speedy remedial action when problems occur; and
- Regular feedback through reporting and account
management.
Furthermore, a Customer can expect:
- A well maintained system;
- Predictable service levels; and
- Access to a pool of trained & experienced
technicians.
There are defined: deliverables; benefits; and outcomes
from PSP. Together these create a compelling business case
for considering the managed support provider approach.
